Blue Plate Special

So ... in the interest of Collections ... I offer the following:

Plates
Blue
and White Plates
Pretty much ... everywhere.

On the wall in the dining room ...

Above the bay window in the kitchen ...

Over an arched doorway in my bathroom ...

PDaddy once commented that his cause of death could possibly read, "Hit on the head by a plate. A Blue and White plate." He really needn't worry. I am quite the expert on hanging my plates. I am never going to put one of my precious plates in danger!

Just kidding, PDaddy. I promise to save you first.

So ... what ARE your collections?

well, if you really must know, i collect sand from beaches around the world, antique silver (most of it has been passed down to me), heirloom objects (see my blog), ribbon, freckles, enamelware, a teeny collection of victorian transferware (black & white), and wedgwood.

all of these collections are small and in the early stages, except for the freckle one.

As you know dear friend, I collect shoes and I just took a picture of them to attach, but alas I don't see where you can do that. I've always loved your blue plates......

collections? i sort of gave all of that up when moving to spain... needless to say, i can't think of a single collection, so it couldn't have been that important.

though, i am known to have clothes in excess numbers.

I have always loved your blue and white plate collection, and your love of hanging them on the wall. I have definitely inherited that custom from you.

As far as collections go, I have just started a new one: collecting the cutest babies ever! One down...

I'm sure I could bring a quick halt to the plate collecting if I just said that fear of them all falling and breaking in an earthquake is the only thing keeping us from moving to California...however, my favorite plate collection is the ones we eat off of, novel use for plates I know, but I am more of a blue plate special guy than a special blue plate guy.

i have also enjoyed your "special blue plates" live and in person. they are fab.

i think i collect blogs, childrens books and shoes. nothing nearly as fancy as the blue plates.

i would like to get collect children, but that is harder than it sounds.
