In April. Sigh.
So on Tuesday (the peak heat day) I was happily sewing away in my sewing room which sits upstairs ... where heat is wont to rise. I knew I was feeling somewhat ... sweaty ... but hey, I was hard at work. What I didn't know was that the temperature up there was quickly climbing to 86 degrees. Of course once I knew that it was suddenly way too unbearable and I was forced to turn on the A/C (on the earliest date in many ... many ... years.)
But in the meantime I want to give a shout out to my trusty Wal-Mart clip-on fan that has served me through many a sweaty AZ summer.
And yes, I am well aware that in July ... if it ever gets down to 102 degrees, I will be forced to put on a light sweater.
In the meantime ... how are you dealing with the heat? Are you thinking about heading to Wal-Mart right now?
Are you sweating?

Uh, Californian here... 90 is as hot as it gets here. 102 in Arizona is barely scratching the surface of what you know as "hot". We pay big money and endure endless traffic and smog for our mild weather.
That said, I LOVE this quilt.
i hate playing the "well, my weather is ..." game, but i must tell you that they promised us it would be 68 today, which would feel like 102 to me after a long winter. unfortunately, it's still cold and stormy. grrr ... and i even wore sandals.
It's hot here in southern Nevada...probably over 100 again today!!! But I shouldn't complain...not really...when it will be over 120 for at least a couple weeks this summer (unless we get really, really lucky)!
i'm totally diggin' the 102 weather! now only if it could stay like this forever! :)
Angy is seriously sick--probably too much sun. Warm April is okay if it didn't mean four to six weeks of 110 in another two months.
But I'll take Phoenix over Chicago and hotter dry heat over hot and humid summers. At least a fan makes a difference here.
Great quilt!!!
I am headed to AZ next week! And I can't wait! It has been so cold here! I can't get warmed up! Blankets, Sweaters, Coats, Mittens, Heating pad! I'm totally looking forward to a visit in SUNNY AZ! Wahoo! ooxx`jodi
